Pushpa 2 Movie Review: Icon star Allu Arjun is the hero of the movie 'Pushpa 2' directed by creative genius Sukumar. With 'Pushpa' achieving pan-India success and Allu Arjun receiving the National Award for his performance, expectations have increased for the sequel. Will 'Pushpa 2' live up to those expectations? Will this sequel also be a huge success on the level of 'Baahubali 2', and 'KGF 2'? Or not? How is the movie?

Pushpa 2 Movie Story

Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun) rises from a laborer smuggling red sandalwood to the level of ruling a syndicate. In Chittoor district, no one can do anything except him. When Pushpa meets the Chief Minister who has come to their village... Sreevalli (Rashmika) asks her to take a photo. However... the CM refuses to give him a picture, saying that Pushpa is a smuggler. Then Pushpa feels. He feels insulted. With that, he decides to make Siddappa (Rao Ramesh) the Chief Minister.

What did Pushpa Raj do to make Siddappa the CM? Could he actually do it? Or not? On the other hand, Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahad Fazil) is waiting to catch Pushpa and avenge the insult he suffered. What did he do? What is the relationship between Central Minister Pratap Reddy (Jagapathi Babu), his younger brother's son (Tarak Ponnappa), and Pushpa? Is Pushpa's mental anguish over not being accepted by her stepbrothers as her younger brother and her fight for the family name the end card? Or not? You should watch the movie to find out.

Pushpa 2 Movie Analysis

Mass... Oora Mass... Allu Arjun's mass tandavam in the role of Pushparaj... That's all I can say about 'Pushpa 2' in one piece! If Allu Arjun acts as if he has 'nothing to lose' in acting and heroism... Sukumar has not lost as a director either. He has shown his mark mass. Everyone knows the Pushpa Raj character and that world. So Sukumar did not take time to establish new characters. He directly concentrated on the mass moments and heroism that fans wanted.

Did Sukumar shine more as a director? Did he shine more as a writer? That is... both. While he is successful as a director in giving high moments in action sequences... he has touched hearts as a writer with his heartfelt dialogues in emotional scenes. However... he has struggled a bit in terms of length as a narrator. Sukumar's mark mass is seen in 'Pushpa 2'. The introduction fight is well designed. The way he dealt with the fair episode is amazing. The fight that comes before the climax gives a tremendous high. However, it is noteworthy that the master of calculations has set aside logic. Sukku, who sees logic in fight sequences as well, has set them aside.

Some may not like the hero's words, 'If I listen to the words of the bride, I will show the world what it is like.' But, it is the turning point for 'Pushpa 2'. It is not just the wife and husband scenes... How Pushpa, who is devastated by her elder brother's belittling her as not belonging to her family, is given an end card, and the ending of the family name shows Sukumar's maturity as a director and writer. However... the biggest minus point of the film is its length. The heavy sarcasm is a bit of a problem. One of the two scenes before the Peelings song could have been cut.

'Pushpa 2' run time... three hours and 20 minutes. It is a tough task to keep the audience in the theaters for that long. Sukumar has overcome it to some extent. However... the run time makes some scenes feel stretched. Not only that... the song 'Souseki' in the middle of the wonderful Jatara episode hits you like a rock under the teeth. The scene where Pushpa's elder brother (Ajay) comes to her house is very good. But, that too is too long. After the fight sequence that gave a tremendous high, it was a dare to give that emotional scene a place in the climax. However... Sukku put an end to the family name problem that caused pain in Pushpa's mind. But, it was not successful in giving the necessary lead cliffhanger (excitement) for Part 3.

The Japan (intro) fight is good. But, why do you feel that after the end of the movie? Did they give a link for Part 3!? Sukumar, who concentrated more on heroism and emotional moments as a director... did not do anything surprising in terms of the story. He did not think about logic. It was made in the format required for a mass commercial film. It has proven that it is enough for this type of heroic film.

Technically, 'Pushpa 2' is of high standards. Miroslava Cuba Brozek's camera work is top-class. Devi Sri Prasad's songs are still good on the screen. The background music in all the fight sequences is amazing. Especially the fair episode! It gives you goosebumps. Sam CS should be praised for that. The leaders of Mythri Movie Makers did not hesitate to spend. Every rupee was seen in the frame. The production design is good.

Actors Performance:

Pushpa is not a name, it is a brand! The reason for that is not only the character but the performance shown by Allu Arjun in it. It got a National Award. After watching 'Pushpa: The Rise'... he acted like he was 'beyond that'. The acting was seen. There is no difference between a scene and a fight. He acted with all his heart. However... his performance in the Jatara episode dominates everything. Throughout that episode, he acted as if he was in a state of shock as if he was asking, "Is Amma really Poona?" The pre-climax fight is also a highlight. Allu Arjun's words about the girl are tearful.

Compared to 'Pushpa'... Fahadh Fazil has more screen space in 'Pushpa 2'. Some moments show good villainy. He has shown his universality in some scenes, including the scene where red sandalwood lorries are burned. But, there is less chance that Fahadh's fans - the average audience will like his character. The character arc is not good. He has made a comedian in some places. Jagapathi Babu's look is new. He has shown a settled performance till 'Pushpa 2'. We can expect his role to be more in 'Pushpa 3'. Tarak Ponnappa's character, if you look at his performance, you really want to kill him. The villainy is so effective. Sunil has less screen space. The character is also not as powerful as it was in Part 1.

Not only did she add the glamour required for this film (in the Peelings song) in the role of Srivalli... Rashmika also showed fire in terms of acting in a single scene in the middle of the fair. However... the chances of that song being liked by everyone are slim. Srileela's dance in the song 'Kissik...' was amazing. Kalpalatha, who played the role of Allu Arjun's mother, and Dakshayani, who appeared briefly, were seen as Anasuya, and Pavani Karanam, who played the daughter of Ajay, did their roles to the best of their abilities.

Pushpa... Pushpa Raj Rule... Allu Arjun's mass tandavam. The red sandalwood smuggling episode after the interval is a testament to the mass appeal. The fair episode and the pre-climax fight give goosebumps. Poonakalu is guaranteed for audiences who like mass films. A must-watch movie, if only for Allu Arjun's acting.
